Tips and Tricks // Curly Hair

Hello everyone I’m Celest and I hope you’re having a wonderful day or night wherever you are :)

Today I have come to say that after 18 years of having untameable curly hair I think I’ve come to learn how to control it!  *starts to think about humid weather* …..I think….

Over the last few months I have changed the way I treat my hair in the morning which has made a significant impact.  Now I give you a hand full of tips to help you keep your curls in form and minimise frizziness.
  1. apply coconut oil to your hair before washing it (not a hair mask though you can do that too)
  2. when your in the shower rinse your hair with cold water…for the recored I don't tend to do this unless its summer because I hate having to freeze while in the process
  3. apple hair spray before drying your hair preferably a light one so it doesn’t dry out your hair I use this Sunsilk Gloss Finish Serum Spray or I use a creme such as Schwarzkopf Curl Flex Creme or just coconut oil again
  4. when drying your hair use a blow dryer with the diffuser attached to make your curls extra springy. This method of drying also helps if you can pre tell your going to have a frizzy hair day
  5. If you want you hair to dry with loose curls then use a cotton t-shirt or squeeze dry your hair with a towel

There you have it! I hope that this helps you. In the future I think I’m going to do how to style short curly hair, these hair styles are great if you have only a few sections that are frizzy.

Discover // Lumière Jewelry

Hello everyone how's your day or night going?

I always stumble across such amazing shops and designers online and it only feels right for me to share them with you guys encase you're into a similar style.

Lately I have been liking the style of layered necklaces that are delicate and simple as they are so effortless and have the capability of pulling a lot of different looks together. I came across 'lumiere Jewelry' on Instagram and when I saw their designs I just thought "girl you need to get a job, start saving  and get your hands on some".

The jewellery they stock is exactly what I've been looking for. Their necklaces range to both the likings of  girly and grunge styles so take your pick.

A bones is that they ship world wide people! When I saw that I got so excited and increase you're wondering they are based in Texas and sell the jewellery off Etsy.

These are my personal favorites:

Pep Talk Time - After life

from = http://www.hypable.com/10-best-harry-potter-quotes/2/

I don't say much. Majority of people who meet me probably think I have no thought process, that my skull is only filled with air flouting around in erratic patterns back and forth, back and forth hitting the walls of my skull.  They're all wrong. I may be quiet but my mind is loud with tangled thoughts and questions that keep me up until the braking morning hours.

There was one night a while a go were I began thinking about after life. I'm not a religious person I should mention that now. My endless thoughts wandered to the world of God, angles, heaven, reincarnation, spirits and ghosts. I got scared to my bones these thoughts and questions left me with electric shivers that put me into shock. This was the moment when I realised how scared I was. Not about dying but about the unknown.

I have come to the conclusions that this is the thing I fear most and I think so does the majority of humanity. If we didn't then why do we search and worry over the possibility of aliens? Why create movies based on things we can not prove nor deny the existent of....maybe so we can laugh after with friends through the feared possibility of their existence. Have we in fact lived thousands of life times with the memories we had of them sucked into oblivion or once it's all over do we watch over our families through a silent presents?

I know for certain my biggest fear is the unknown. I used to always wonder why people believe in religions, now I however think that it's a way for hope to fill in the unknown taking away their fears. You maybe wondering what I do however believe in the answer is I don't know. I know we are promised two things we will be born and we will die everything else is up to questioning. I do although like to live by this statement when it comes to the unknown " just because there is no evidence for it does not mean there is evidence against it".

What do you think happens after life? Do you fear the unknown?

Sometimes I think life is an illusion. We're all just puppets to something bigger and one day we wake up to its reality.

PS. I'm sorry if this post was too deep I just wanted to put my thoughts out there and I'm sorry if it didn't make sense. Yes to those who recognised it "we are promised two things we will be born and we will die" is a quote on Tumblr.

I Recommend // Hair Care

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful day or night wherever you are. Today I wanted to recommend a hair product so keep on reading.

Due to my posts both here and on Instagram the majority of you would not have noticed that I have naturally curly hair. Now curly hair can be a bit of an annoyance because its constantly gets tangled no matter what I tend to do. To make matters worse people tend to ask me "can I touch it?" whiles already having their hand run through it and get stuck midway because that seems the most logical thing to do when someone has curly hair! NOT. :P

I have however found a product that keeps my hair from knotting and wanted to share it with you.  It's the 'Macadamia Natural Oil Nourishing Leave-In Cream'.  This product is amazing it makes my curls feel so  hydrated and soft, keeping them formed and not knotted. While doing all these things it also doesn't make your hair look oily.

HOW I USE IT:

What I do is towel dry my hair a little then apply a little bit of coconut oil to minimize frizziness and increased the soft texture. I then gradually apply the leave in conditioner and let my hair air dry.

I high recommend both the product and the method I use of applying the oil.

On a side note I brought mine at Coles

Price > $23.49 AUS (...I think it was when I was at Coles)

Pep Talk Time- Wear what you want

Hello there! How are you? I hope you're doing well :)

Today I wanted to share my opinion on a matter and give some advise on gaining confidence in something you want to wear out though to others you think you may look a bit bizarre.

The majority of the time I go out with my friends they tend to apologise to me out of thin air. Want to know why? Because of what they're wearing. I would always think this was a very strange thing for someone to say and I would always be like "dude you look great!". One day though I finally asked one of my friends "why do you always apologies?" okay and yes I know my story is dragging on but it has a purpose so keep reading and don't click that tempting cross button!  She then told me "because you always look so put together and I look like crap". "Now hold the flipping phone because that ain't right or true" I said.

I have learnt over the years to not give any care into what other people think about what I'm wearing and I think it's important that other people go by this as well. I know it's easier said then done because I've been there too but it's possible to gain that mind set.

Your style is your style! If you want to dress in baggy comfy clothing when you go out to the movies then so be it. If you want to wear stiletto heels with a girly outfit during the day then girl you do it. If you want to wear vintage styled item of clothing then do it...you get my drift? In todays day in age we're so worried about what other people think about our appearance because we think everyone around us cares about what we look like but the truth is they're not looking because they give a shiz.  Don't hold back wearing the things you want to because believe it or not but you'll feel more happier when you do and with that will come confidence.

Now here is my tip for you when you have an item of clothing that you really like but you think it's not what's "trending" or what other people would deem "fashionable" then begin wearing it slowly. Wear it around the house for a while until you feel like your rocking it and want to wear it out. If your still not sure then wear it around your closest friend who you feel won't judge you then make that final leap.

I know this post was written in a slightly different style compared to most on my blog...I just really wanted it to be me talking like I do face to face with one of my friends when they ask for advise.

Celeb Style Break Down

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I hope everyone has had a great start to the new year and had a fun NY night.

I wanted to start off a new post style by decoding celebrities styles and telling you guys where you can find similar or exact pieces of their outfit. To start off I'll be talking about Shay Mitchell..... and yes I'am a huge 'Pretty Little Liars' fan, yes I'm so excited about the new  season coming out and know I soooo have not been watching some seasons for the 5th time from anticipation....

Shay is like a flawless creature she is so beautiful and has an amazing  sense of style in my opinion.  Her Instagram its self represents it bye the us of bright colours and high contrast.

When you look at the majority of her outfits they have quite a boho style.  The characteristics to what I'm stating are bright colours, daring cuts, unique patterns, full length dresses, baggy jumpsuits, layered accessories, hats and reflective glasses. If you style your outfits like this then your mostlikly going to get similar outfits to hers.

She does however have a second style which is more modern and edgy. This being more worn for night events and red carpets. Her colour scheme being more black, white and grey with the occasional block of a bold colour and intricate patterns.

Now you're probably thinks " Celest that's great but where can I get this shiz?!?!" well lucky for you I have a couple suggestions. :)

HER STYLE:

Price >  $88

Price >  $52

All her things a really high  priced so I didn't bother posting them but if you want the links just comment down bellow saying so then I'll give them :)

     SIMILAR STYLE:
